Computer and Communication Networks Program
This specialization in computer and communications networks (CCN) is a technical, cross-disciplinary program bridging the disciplines of computer science and electrical and computer engineering. Important aspects of network management are also included.
Graduates of this program will be prepared for positions of technical leadership in the design, implementation and management of computer and communications networks, including local and wide-area computer networking, distributed computation, telecommunications, and personal mobile communications.
Opportunities are available for completing the CCN program on a part-time or full-time basis. Students may pursue this specialization toward the M.S. degree in either the ECE Department or the Computer Science Department, based on student Background and interest. In either case, the program will draw extensively from both disciplines. A total of 33 credits is required. For additional information, call the CCN Program Director, Prof. Fred J.
